Reasons why Andrea should go digital

For the prosecution:
  • Instantly change your pen color, without needing to go to the store for colored pens
  • Never run out of O's or any other vowel, for that matter
  • Digital vellum needs no creative adhesive to get it to stay down
  • Adding titles is faster than the putzy, paper method (letter by letter)
  • Don't have to worry about loving gel pens when they work and hating them when they don't
  • When you trim unnecessarily, Ctrl-Z is really, really your friend
  • You wouldn't have to say "This would be perfect if I could just turn one of these sideways" because you just could
  • Not "wasteful" like paper
  • Never run out of black paper
  • Fibers and glitter you don't get them all over your next project
  • 5x7s cost the same as 4x6s and 8x10s
  • Stickers never go through the Xyron upside down
  • Easier to skip ahead and do layouts out of order

For the defense:
  • It's harder to dance while you scrapbook digitally than it is while you
  • scrapbook on paper
  • Paper never locks up
  • You never have to reboot your scissors
  • Digital scrappers never win any contests

  1. Eventually, I believe Andrea will give in and go digital; but for the record, I personally think all the prosecution reasons can be turned and used against itself:

    * Needing to go to the store for colored pens sounds like a fun trip!
    * Running out of Os and other vowels promotes "extreme" resourcefulness and creativity.
    * Creative vellum adhesive inventors have to have jobs to provide for their families.
    * Adding titles letter by letter improves spelling through tactile learning
    * Some of us love to hate. And love to vacillate between emotions.
    * When you trim unnecessarily, you can't justify it as "Editor's Privilege"
    * You wouldn't have to say "This would be perfect if I could just turn one of these sideways" because nobody's perfect
    * Paper is recyclable!
    * Black can get a little boring...
    * Fibers and glitter can just be avoided point blank
    * the more you spend the more "special" it is
    * Upside down stickers can be like Newton's apple
    * sticking to the plan is sometimes a good thing

  2. *CAN justify it as Editor's Privilege

...all of this is merely jest, by the way! LOL. :)

  3. Thanks, Reagan!

Defense number 6 - you can get supplies really cheap when your friends go digital. I'm coming home with more than I left with!
