Potato Chowder

Potato Chowder, as best I can recall

About 6 potatoes cut up and boiled with 1 small diced onion (I suppose that's about 1 potato per person - or less)

Drain most of water, smash up a bit and add ½ c butter

Dump in about 1 ½ c milk (sometimes I keep the water and use instant milk) and thicken with a paste of mostly flour and a bit of corn starch mixed with milk (sometimes I thinken with instant potatos or not at all)

2 packages of diced Canadian bacon (any ham or bacon is good) and 1 package frozen roasted corn  (any corn worked, but my favorite is corn on the cob)

A tablespoon or so of parsley (I used dried, but fresh is better yet)

Salt and pepper to taste.
